“I am pleased to see the difficult work and devotion of our organization acknowledged,” said David Corrigan, President of Corrigan Moving. “We realize everything our locations and employees do on a daily basis to make our organization thrive; it’s fantastic to see that dedication celebrated. We have the most talented group of professionals at Corrigan, having that showcased at this honors celebration makes me very proud.”

The annual Unigroup Learning Conference reverted to an in-person occasion this year. Held near the Unigroup base office in St. Louis, MO, the event is attended by numerous members from varying United and Mayflower branches throughout the United States. After 3 days of events including workshops and courses, the conference always ends with an accolade ceremony.

“I don’t recall the last event we didn’t receive an honor of some type,” said Kirk Hensler, Vice President of Operations. “That displays to the degree of reliable quality of our drivers, move experts and office team members. It’s nice to never leave here empty handed.”

Although many of Corrigan’s branches received top awards, a few of Corrigan’s individual employees carried home accolades in their specific divisions. For the second year running, Cassandra McCann from the Grand Rapids, MI branch won the Heart of Quality award. This honor is presented solely to the top tier of relocation coordinators in the Unigroup system. To be suitable to earn this accolade, relocation coordinators need to have immaculate customer evaluation scores and finish ongoing annual training.

“We’ve had several relocation coordinators earn this honor, and we’re so proud of Cassandra for winning two years back to back. She goes over and above for her clients. They realize how much she handles, we recognize it, and now she has an additional prize to join to her collection,” said David Corrigan.

Myron Luikart works in Corrigan’s unique Logistics department, managing mainly on big jobs. “Earning 2 Masters Club Inner Circle honors in the same year is not easy to pull off, however he did it. If anyone needs to uncover a way to get something completed, it’s Myron. He brings incredible expertise to our organization and his customers. He handles some of our largest-scale jobs and manages them all with great care. He’s absolutely advantageous for us, we’re glad he received some appreciation today,” said Kirk Hensler.

As well as to Luikart’s awards, many members of Corrigan’s sales department were accepted into United’s elite Million Dollar Club for their outstanding sales capabilities. These professionals demonstrate an excellent dedication to excellence in annual serviced linehaul revenue. Acknowledged were, Brandon Becker, Ann Arbor, MI office, Tim Carney, Cleveland, OH branch, Rob Galardi, Rochester, NY branch, Craig James, Auburn Hills, MI office and Mike Sparks, Buffalo, NY office. “Each of these gentlemen have gone beyond and away in sales and definitely displayed a commitment to assisting our customers,” stated David Corrigan. “We are honored to have each of them on our team.”

Three Corrigan locations earned the Customer Excellence honor, a notable honor showcasing the commitment to client satisfaction. After their move is complete, customers are asked to grade several portions of their relocation. This encompasses the primary evaluation process, their move coordinator, packing, loading and delivery stages. Every office belongs to a various size category, contingent on how many moves they handle annually. To be eligible to win, each location must have the best feedback score in their size category, in addition to meeting or exceeding the standards set for claims (volume of damage reported during a move), safety and certified labor.

“This isn’t an easy honor to win. Standards are incredibly high, and you need be almost perfect in each category. To have 3 offices win for their respective size categories once again showcases the pride we take in delivering top quality to our customers,” said David Corrigan.

Lastly, the Cleveland office was recognized with the Centers Network Performance accolade. This accolade pertains to the Snap Move Container Program, where a client pays for our movers to load, transport and deliver their goods inside wooden containers. This selection can accelerate service for smaller orders, compared to conventional in-van moving options. The containers are sent to the nearest United agent to where the client is moving, who then helps with delivering the contents of those containers.

“The Centers Network Performance honor is only given to 2 agents. One winner is for agents that service 0 to 200 containers, and the second recipient is for over 200 containers,” said Kirk Hensler. “Corrigan Cleveland earned the Centers Network Performance honor for 0-200 containers. They were best amongst 94 agents. Standards that are measured are claims, timeliness in getting the vaults prepared for pick up, speed in delivering inbound vaults, and customer satisfaction.”

“It was fantastic to return to in person this year,” said David Corrigan, recollecting the event. “It’s been a tough couple of years managing the pandemic and now labor shortages. Spending time with our peers and talking about how they’re working through problems gives us new ideas to take home. Many of these locations are facing the same difficulties we are and it’s a terrific way to learn from others, help one another and continue to nurture lasting relationships with our agents. We rely on them to help our customers in locations we don’t have a Corrigan location. They know they can always lean on Corrigan to deliver top level service for all of their clients, as well. Overall, this was a wonderfully successful event and I couldn’t be prouder of how Corrigan Moving was depicted and awarded.”
